12 Crystals for PMS and Menstruation

If you are anything like me, PMS and menstruation can really take a lot out of you. It's hard to keep life going when you are bogged down with cramps, mental fog, migraines, nausea, and bloating. The good news is there is a wonderful and natural way to support yourself through this natural process each month. By utilizing the healing energies of crystals we can help support the transitions our bodies go through.

Here is my list of 12 crystals that are wonderful to work with during PMS and menstruation. As I I always say, use your own intuition. What is right for some isn't right for all and your own individual intuition is key to the process. These are my suggestions and merely places to start as you continue to explore crystal healing choices and how best crystal healing can work for you.

12 Crystals for PMS and Menstruation

1. Hematite.

Hematite helps with blood clots, cramps, anemia, and overall blood issues and disorders. Hematite magnets are particularly helpful when placed on a painful area and assists with the flow of blood in the body.

2. Jet.

Jet is helpful with migraines, promotes calm energy, is helpful with swelling and water retention, and can help to ease stomach issues.

3. Falcon's Eye/Red Tiger's Eye.

Falcon's Eye, also known as Red Tiger's Eye is helpful with skin conditions and breakouts and also helps support the entire reproductive system.

4. Mookaite Jasper.

Mookaite Jasper helps to boost creative energy, self-esteem, and helps to ease water retention. It is very grounding for fluctuating emotions.

5. Red Calcite.

Red Calcite is calming to the Root Chakra, supportive of the kidneys and spleen, and helps to ease anxiety, ADHD, and OCD. Stabilizing.

6. Garnet.

Garnet cleanses and reenergizes the Root Chakra, helps to balance sexual drive, assists in emotional harmony, helps with regeneration within the body, stamina, and purifying and reenergizing the blood.

7. Citrine.

Citrine helps to balance hormones, combat fatigue, and give a boost to your energy.

8. Moonstone.

Moonstone is helpful with all symptoms of PMS, cramps, fluid retention, emotional swings, and is supportive to the female reproductive system.

9. Chrysocolla.

Chrysocolla helps with symptoms of PMS, muscle spasms, and cramps.

10. Labradorite.

Labradorite assists with cramps in the body and hormonal balance.

11. Opal, dark colors.

Dark colors or opal helps to stabilize emotions, supports pregnancy and childbirth, and helps to purify the blood.

12. Serpentine.

Serpentine helps to balance the emotional body and is extremely purifying to the blood.

You can use any and all of these crystals simply by carrying them with you, keeping them around you, wearing them in jewelry, making a crystal grid to send out healing energy to assist you, meditate with them, or make an elixir using the indirect method*. I like to place them on the belly and give Reiki to the area, but you don't need to be attuned to Reiki to utilize crystal healing. Be sure to cleanse your crystals after use*.

So get creative, read your body and your intuition, and support yourself in good health!

*Indirect elixir method is when you place the crystals OUTSIDE of the cup of liquid, usually water or tea, in order to charge it with the energies of the crystals used. You can place your elixir in the sun to charge, charge it indoors, or under the moon. Use your intuition as far as how long to charge it for.

*Be sure to utilize a safe cleaning method for whatever types of crystals you use. Not all are water safe. My favorite safe methods include any form of incense (passing each piece through the smoke which represents both Air and Fire), burying overnight in a box of sea or Himalayan salt, intentional cleansing or Violet breath, or Reiki.
